If you have been blocked
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience. We will remove your block within 24 hours and notify you on your talk page. To prevent you from being blocked again, we'll add your user name to the Safe Users lists. This will be necessary only once.
Safe Users lists
There are two types of users lists. Frequent Editors are known users who are not subject to any editing constraints. Safe Users, the second list is expected to be safe, however a vandal may end up there somehow. Editors will first be added to the Safe Users list and then later may be added to the Frequent Editors list. For safety reasons, users on Safe Users are still monitored for vandal behavior. This monitoring will attempt to stop robotic vandals and minimize the damage from human vandals, but should not cause any inconvenience to genuine editors. Users on the Safe Users list and Frequent Editors are also not filtered for spam content. For security reasons, Main Page edits are restricted to users who are on the safe lists.
These protection mechanisms are designed to be transparent for editors. We will manage these lists ourselves by observing editing activity and adding users to the lists where appropriate so the editing experience is as smooth as possible.
Main Page Edits
For security reasons, Main page edits are restricted to users who have been around on the wiki for some time. If you are a new user and have any changes to suggest for the Main Page, please leave a message on the Talk page of the Main page.
Protection log
As of 4/5/2007, Autoblock has protected this website 9 times against vandalism. 4 of these were made in the month of April 2007. Most of these incidents were bot-related which would have resulted in extensive damage to the website if gone unchecked. The damage is always reversible, but if we didnt have this protection we would be busy all the time trying to restore the website. Unfortunately, the system has also blocked some valid users who were later added to our Safe lists so they could continue editing. The benefits of the system are far greater than the minor inconvenience it sometimes causes new editors.
History of Vandalism
Giving any internet user the power to edit a website has its advantages and disadvantages. On October 26, 2006, WikiIslam came under its first bot-based vandalism attack. The attack went on for about an hour, and new user registrations were then disabled for some time. The third and last unrestricted attack was on November 20, 2006. After a few more bug fixes, Auto Block was finally able to restrain vandalism attacks and limit the damage to an easily manageable level.

The Auto Block log only shows the unsuccessful attempts of a user to edit or move a page. The actual blocking of the user is initiated by Auto Block but is shown in the regular system Block log.
