Current Jihad Motivation

So many articles are still being written asking the same question: "Why do they (terrorists) hate us?"
After reading all the various answers, ie, jealous, because of US troops in KSA, foreign policies, supporting dictator regimes, etc, I've come to the conclusion that we simply contradict the Quran by our very existence. The reinforcement Muslims seem to receive is that they are superior, Mohamed (pbuh) told them so and the Quran is a literal text. Therefore, any situation, people, culture, religion, on and on, have to be eliminated. It doesn't matter what reason Muslims (extremists) give because that isn't the real issue. Forced conversion used in the past was a useful tool in eliminating contradiction and afforded Islam all the glory of achievement not so rightly earned.
Why now? What spurred on this new movement of international jihad? Communication caused it. Before satellites, telecommunications, etc, news was relatively isolated. You didn't have full color, wide screens giving real-time data around the world. Muslims didn't have their inadequacies shoved in their faces in glorious color 24/7. It was only a short leap of shaky faith to see the glaring contradictions of the Quran.
The daring-do of western civilization found itself in a head-on with the do or die Muslim world.
Another catalyst is Wahabism extremism, over and above Islam's natural inclination to destroy everything not Islamic. Its no secret that oil will run out one day, and sooner rather than later. It just wont do for muslims to be caught short with no empire to rule if their only foundation is oil money. Arabs have been diversifying dramatically in western ventures for good reason. They will need capital to rule when oil becomes scarce.
My point in all this is that we have to stop dancing around the edges of the problem and start striking at its heart...and NOW. The esoteric term "moderate" Muslim is a nonstarter in all conversations. If the "moderates" had any influence at all, we would have seen at in history. (Though the argument that Spain was ruled under "moderate" Islam, many of those who called themselves Muslims in Spain were in name only.) The sorry fact is, Islam is owned and operated by extremists.
In a real departure from mainstream media, I will state the obvious. Islam should be outlawed in all western nations, unless and until they eliminate Jihad (and there are five states of Jihad not just the internal struggle being repeated {bis seyf (sword), bil yad (hand), bil qalam (pen), bil lisan (tongue), & bin nafs (heart)}. We cannot allow a religion with a volatile political movement at its heart (Shariah law) to co-exist with any western government.
This is fighting extremism with extremism. As long as Islam as a religion is able to suspend rational thought, we have no weapon against it. No law will stop it. No military will conquer it.
