Farsideology: Muhammad's Fear of Gold

Did Muhammad develop a fear of gold?
Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 72, Number 728
Narrated Hudhaifa: The Prophet forbade us to drink out of gold and silver vessels, or eat in it, Ann also forbade the wearing of silk and Dibaj or sitting on it.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 92, Number 401 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet wore a gold ring and then the people followed him and wore gold rings too. Then the Prophet said, "I had this golden ring made for myself. He then threw it away and said, "I shall never put it on." Thereupon the people also threw their rings away.
1. A dramatic incident
2. A phobia may be learned.
3. There are no apparent reasons for the beginning of many phobias.
The patient will be exposed for short periods to the offending object.
If Muhammad were living today, his cure will consist of visiting the Fort Knox Bullion Depository (U.S. gold reserve). After spending just three hours in the Depository, Muhammad’s fear of gold woud have disappeared.
