The moving Mountains
Let ‘s investigate further verses 015.019 and 027.061
015.019 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable
027.061 Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable
Note the definition of immovable is a) Impossible to move or b) Incapable of movement.
However, the mountains are moving and their motions are ….
Motion 1 -- The mountains are part of a continental plate which is moving.
Motion 2 -- The mountains are attached to a rotating Earth.
Motion 3 -- The Earth itself is revolving about the Sun.
Motion 4 -- Our Sun and its planets are revolving about our Milky Way galaxy.
Motion 5 -- The Milky Way galaxy is moving around the center of the Local Group of Galaxies.
Motion 6 -- The Local Group of Galaxies is moving towards the Hydra-Centaurus supercluster.
Motion 7 – The Hydra-Centaurus supercluster is moving towards …. (Only Allah knows.)
