within decades the above promise became true. Islam prevailed. The two superpowers of the day, the Persian and the Roman empires crumbled at the hands of the Muslims.

[edit] Rebuttal

This is another case of the author twisting the words of the Quran in order to suit their own meaning. 61:9 clearly says "..and will make it (Islam) dominate over all religions ." Clearly there are other religions still present on Earth, so this is not a fulfilled Prophecy. The "explanation" of the fulfillment does not match the verse the author has chosen to quote.
