Islamophobia

"Islamophobia" is a term and concept that Muslims and Islamophiles has created in order to attack and silence critics of Islam.
"Islamophobia" is not found in most major dictionaries, just like its opposing term islamophilia.
Novelist Salman Rushdie and number of other scholars and critics of Islam signed a manifesto entitled Together facing the new totalitarianism in March 2006 calling Islamophobia a "wretched concept that confuses criticism of Islam as a religion and stigmatization of those who believe in it."[1]
