The Ka'aba is the holiest shrine in Islam and is the first worship place converted by Muslims into a mosque. Muslim believe Abraham built it when he "binded Ishmael", stolen from the Biblical Binding of Isaac on the Jewish Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Muslims later stole The Temple Mount and built The Al-Aqsa Mosque and The Dome of The Rock even though Jerusalem isn't mentioned in The Koran. They did it for propaganda purposes so the local Arab rulers could compete with the Arabs in Arabia for pilgrims.

Muslims believe the black stone in The Ka'aba was a gift from Allah to Adam. The stone is a meteorite. Prior to Islam, it was the center of Pre-Islamic Arabian pagan lunar worship. It was a place where various deities were worshipped by the pagan Arabs. Among these deities where Allah [1]as well as his daughters Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat [2].
