According to multiple sources, Muhammad had many wives and concubines.

• Mohammed married 15 women and consummated his marriages with 13. (al-Tabari vol.9 p.126-127)
• "The Prophet used to visit all his wives in one night and he had nine wives at that time." - Sahih Bukhari 1:5:282

According to MW, a concubine is "a woman with whom a man cohabits without being married: as a: one having a recognized social status in a household below that of a wife".
