Talk:Allah
From WikiIslam
I know we have in related topic a (link to Allah as moon God) but shouldn't we mention in the article itself that Allah was the head of the Gods in the pre-Islamic Arabic pantheon and also that he was the moon God and only put reference to the other article.
I also think that "when Theo van Gogh wrote in a column that he believes in a God and that God should be a pig ("rather nice and intelligent animals") and called his God Allah (like every Arab should do, isn't it?) Muslims felt themselves insulted." should be removed it just it supply no real information. We should focus here in supply information about the origin of that word and that God in the Pagani religion of the pre-Islamic world. My opinion only. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oren tal (talk • contribs). ( How to sign your posts. ?)
- Oren tal, I totally agree. Thanks for pointing that out. Yes there was some interesting stuff that Roberto had put in before. I took that out because I couldnt find any references for that (otherwise I might have moved it to a section of Famous quotes on Allah, e.g.) and put in some actual information. Its interesting that Wikipedia's article on Allah has no mention at all of even the word Moon. --Whale talk contribs 16:27, 15 June 2007 (PDT)
