Talk:The Geocentric Quran
From WikiIslam
The conclusions in this article are flawed in many ways. Many of the quotations from Qur'an are not accurate. For example the quotation from 36:36-36:39 is made up by the author of the article. Words are incorrectly added to the translation to make it sound wrong. Other than that the only correct argument here is that the Sun and the Moon are always mentioned together. This does not tell a geocentric view. It is a literary characteristic, the day and the night is mentioned then the sun and the moon, sun is the sign of the day and the moon is sign of the night. This is nothing but a Poetic quality. It does not mean the sun and the moon are the same. Actually if you look at the verse 10:5 you will see that they are described to be different. The verses quoted here are mostly verses with beautiful poetic quality in Arabic.
