Talk:The Ramadan Pole Paradox

There should be a either an addition or another article with regards to Muslims in outer space where there is no day or night *at all*. It's clear Ramadan fasting becomes a further impossibility and also shows Allah's clear ignorance of the existences of space and other planets.

Done. However its not ignorance of other planets or space or the moon. They knew these things existed. Allah just didnt know that Muslims could one day end up in space (riding on a vehicle designed by non-muslims). --Whale 14:15, 19 November 2009 (PST)

Thanks!

Fasting during Ramadan not only lasts from sunrise to sunset, but from first visible light to the last visible light (that is from before dawn to after dawn). Now, the area around the north-pole where some rest of sunlight remains visible during midsummer reaches far more further south than the polar circle, at least as south as the 50th degree of latitude (in our urban world the light might be invisible due to street lights, but you can see it in remote areas). Even in southern Britain or central Germany a Muslim would not be allowed to eat and drink at all if Ramadan falls into midsummer.
