What Sins Are Forgiven
From WikiIslam
Muslims often believe the following about their religious Moral Code:
- Some sins are unforgivable, for example; murder.
- Islam does not have a 'confession' like Christians. Where you can sin, repent and then sin again.
- Islam does not let Muslims carry their parents' 'sins'.
- Lying is not permitted. Unless you do so in order to convert people to Islam and that this is called Taqqiya.
Unfortunately for Muslims, all the above assumptions are wrong:
- The only unforgivable sin is to not believe in Allah. Other sins like murder of sentient beings and rape are forgiveable.

- You do carry your parents sins in Islam:
Nor do thou ever pray for any of them that dies, nor stand at his grave; for they rejected Allah and His Messenger, and died in a state of perverse rebellion.
Let not their wealth nor their children please thee! Allah purposeth only to punish them thereby in the world, and that their souls shall pass away while they are disbelievers.
- Lying is, unfortunately permitted in Islam. You can lie whenever you need to.
