• Quran allows pedophilia: A certain verse in the Quran allows sex with girls who have not reached puberty.
• Muhammad committed it: He got engaged to 6 year old Aisha and married her when she was 9 years old.
• Muhammad's companions committed it: Umar was the 3rd caliph of Islam and married Umm Kulthum at a time when she was 10-12 years old.
• Some Muslims today participate in child marriages: In the Islamic world today, marriage with young girls who have not reached puberty is not common, but when it is done, the husband is not criticized or punished. Their society accepts such a marriage.
